Manufacturing

Long sales cycles, technical clarification and a service share that carries the margin. And the data for all of it sits in the ERP, not the CRM.

the starting point

The quote is a technical answer, and it lives everywhere except in sales.

In machinery and plant engineering it is not the fast answer that wins but the reliable one: a quote hangs on configuration, lead time and technical feasibility. That information lives in the ERP and in the heads of engineering, while sales works alongside it with spreadsheets and email threads.

Add a sales cycle of months with changing contacts, often through dealers or agencies. Where anyone stands in the process takes a round of follow-up calls to answer, and the forecast at quarter end is an estimate.

Service is often the most profitable part of the business but gets treated like a cost block: spare-part requests, maintenance intervals and machine history sit apart from the customer picture.

If at least one of these points applies, an initial consultation is worthwhile.

Companies come to us when…

Quotes take days because technical clarification and pricing run separately.

A production planner stands at a standing desk at the edge of a production hall at night, comparing a sheet of paper with a monitor under a small work lamp.
Companies come to us when…

The forecast misses regularly because pipeline stages are a matter of interpretation.

Companies come to us when…

Customer data lives in the ERP, the CRM and spreadsheets, three different versions.

A CNC machining centre with a dark control panel, a tablet in a wall holder and a blank clipboard stands in a machine hall, a wooden crate of parts on the floor in front of it.
Companies come to us when…

Service requests and machine history are not connected to the customer picture.

A warehouse worker in a grey fleece stands between tall shelves of grey boxes, phone at her ear and a handheld scanner in her hand, a leather tool pouch on her belt.
Companies come to us when…

Dealers and agencies report projects late or incompletely.

What changes

The system answers what engineering used to be asked.

01

Quotes in hours

Configuration, price range and lead time come from the system instead of a call to engineering.

02

One customer picture

ERP order data, machine history and sales activity in one place, the same for sales and service.

03

A forecast that holds

Defined pipeline criteria and a forecast from the system that management can actually follow.

04

Service as a business

Spare-part and maintenance demand becomes visible before the customer calls, straight from machine history.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions: Manufacturing

We run SAP. Can it be connected?

Yes. We connect SAP and other ERPs regularly, defining per data object which system leads. The ERP usually stays leading for orders and articles, the CRM for customer and case. Details under Connected Data & Integrations.

Does this work with dealers and agencies?

Yes, typically through a partner portal: dealers report projects themselves, see their status and access documents. That improves reporting quality far more than chasing ever did.

Our products are highly configurable. Is a standard CRM enough?

For customer and case, yes; for configuration, usually not. Which is why the architecture phase decides what the platform covers and what custom software does.
